Ready to share a bit of juice with a flock of Parrots? Do it in elegant style with this great set from Japan! We are pleased (and down right tickled) to bring you this early twentieth century lemonade set, made of pottery and hand painted in majolica glazes, with a perky Parrot or Parakeet gazing out at you from the front of each piece. The Birds are delightfully surrounded by blooms and vines while a basketweave pattern in the background completes the scene. So often missing a cup or a juicer, this set is completely complete (how's that for being doubly sure?) and is done in pink for added appeal. The pitcher, with juicer, measures 8 5/8" tall and 6.5" wide from spout to handle and 4 1/8" in diameter at the base. Each cup is 3.25" tall and 2 5/8" in diameter at the top. Aside from two very old chips on the juicer (see pic) the entire set is without damage but does have typical factory flaws in the form of missed glaze (seen as white spots in the pics) and age crazing. Each piece is marked with a "Hand Painted Japan" logo on the bottom that is attributed to Kyoto, circa 1920-1940. A fun 'n fabulous set for display or actual use (each piece is glazed inside) and sure to bring you delight (if not compliments). You'll LOVE it!
