Circa 1950's. Rosenthal China, "Studio Line" 124 piece, dinner service for twelve. The nicest of the very hi-style "modern" design made famous after WWII by the world renown German porcelain manufacturer Rosenthal. This extensive dinner service was purchased by an American soldier stationed in Germany in the 1950's and purchased by us from his family. The design is delicate gray and tan grasses on a white back-round with fine gold trim. Like new condition. Twelve each, large dinner plates (9 3/4"), large soup bowls (8 7/8"), salad plates ( 7 5/8"), bread and butter plates (6") dessert bowls (5"). In addition the set has a large oval platter (15 3/8"), a medium oval platter (13"), an open vegetable bowl (9 1/2"), a covered vegetable bowl in a gold metal stand (10"), an open gravy bowl with attached under plate, an open sugar bowl, small creamer and a tall coffee pot (missing lid). There are also twenty-four pedestal tea cups and twenty-four saucers. Marked "Rosenthal China" Selb Germany.
