Vintage Mexican Silver Bracelet and Earrings

This is a fabulous Hallmarked silver Mexican bracelet and pair of earrings. We purchased the bracelet and earrings together, so we assume that the last owner wore them together. We have left them as a set, but they are not a parure. The pieces are not marked with a eagle but are most likely made in the 40's. In 1948, it was required for Mexican silver to be marked with an eagle.

The bracelet is made of links, each connected with a hinge. The links alternate between an ornately raised silver link and a rectangular domed green stone; the stones are probably made of glass with a raised silver design on either side of the stones. The silver link has a round raised ball at the center, four raised round balls with a crease in the center, the crease is a popular design referred to as a coffee bean design. There is a small round silver ball between each of the coffee bean balls. The green art glass is bezel set in silver. There are three round balls on either side of the green art glass.

The earrings are the screw back type. They have raised domed green stones at the center with three silver balls on either side. The green glass, like the green stones on the bracelet, are probably made of glass, which is bezel set.

The bracelet measures 6 3/4" long. The catch is a push box type. The earrings measure 1/2" wide and 5/8” long.
