Leather Trunk On Stand 19th Century

Leather trunk with the initials "VV" spelled out on top with metal brads C.19th century. To be used on the accompanying walnut stand as a side or coffee table or alone as has white stoppers on each bottom corner for use at end of a bed,etc.Leather straps on each side as well as additional two on the top accented with larger brads. The leather is designed in panels with triple lining forming a design on each. The lines are crossed on the face panels. Additional brads around the front lock without latch and arrow shaped design on each side for the leather handles. One missing,the other in two pieces. Interior is wooden covered in original black fabric with a small tan design. One small lidded compartment on left side. Travel stamp in green on the bottom. A handsome piece as well as the leather in good condition with exception to a darker spot on left top where something probably spilled and ran down the back on left side causing the leather to darken. Wonderful storage. Measures 30L X 15W X 13.5H without stand, 24.5H with stand.
